After the harvest season or simply when a particular
Alliaceae crop is ready for harvest, one may find
themselves with an abundance of raw material.
Kevin Prescott presents his techniques and recipes for
transforming this top-quality raw material to promote
improve its self-sufficiency.

self-sufficiency by transforming garlic from his
vegetable garden into garlic scape powder. |

Ingredients : |

Directions : |
|
|
|
|
- Wash.
- Cut garlic scapes into 1/4 inch pieces.
- Put in a dehydrator at 125 °F until the garlic
scapes are completely dehydrated (it becomes very
hard).
- Let cool.
- Put in a coffee grinder to make a fine powder
(too hard for a food processor).
- Transfer to a spice jar.
