Abstract
After deciding about the size and shape of your flower bed, you will need to check the quality of the soil in place. Excavate a poor soil if necessary (take off gravel and rocks). In addition, it will be possible to remove the sod, quite simply, if necessary. A wheelbarrow would be a good idea.

It's possible to leave the grass in place using the sheet mulching technique. You will need to get some cardboards and a delivery of wood chips from a tree service.
