STEP-BY-STEP DIRECTIONS
: |

|
Make a pouch for the pickling
spices and tie it with a string.
Place all the vegetables in
a bowl and mix with the salt.
Refrigerate overnight.
Rinse the vegetables with
cold water and drain them. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Put
the vinegar, sugar, and spice
pouch in a pot and bring to a
boil.
Let it simmer for
10 minutes, then add the
vegetables and boil for another
5 minutes.
Stir in the
food coloring, and pour the
mixture into sterilized jars.
